Scholarship Program

At Tri Counties Bank, our mission is to improve the financial success and well-being of the people we serve throughout Northern and Central California. One way we fulfill this mission is through our investment in community-minded students.

In partnership with the Community Foundation of the North State, Tri Counties Bank awards scholarships totaling $110,000 to high school seniors planning to attend a community college, trade school, or four-year college or university.

Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate interest in public service, community engagement, or business entrepreneurship.

Scholarships are offered to seniors attending a high school in the following counties: Butte, Colusa, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Fresno, Glenn, Humboldt, Kern, Lake, Madera, Mendocino, Merced, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Mateo, Shasta, Siskiyou, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Tulare, Yolo, and Yuba.

Tri Counties Bank offers two types of scholarships:

• Income Based — Sixty (60) $1,500 scholarships are awarded to students with a Student Aid Index (SAI) of $6,655 or less, and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
   
• Merit Based — Twenty (20) $1,000 scholarships are offered to students with a  cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
   

Please note that a student may only apply to one of these scholarship types.
