Chip cards do everything magnetic stripe cards do today, but even more securely; plus, you are still protected from unauthorized use by Zero Liability Card Protection*.

We've got you covered

Smarter Technology

Computer Microchip. A computer chip securely stores the card data. This makes it nearly impossible for a criminal to create a counterfeit chip card.

Unique Cryptogram. When a chip card is inserted into a chip card terminal, the chip produces a single-use code to validate the transaction, making it harder for criminals to use a counterfeit card.

How to get a chip card.  Your current Tri Counties Bank debit or HELOC Access card will be automatically replaced with a chip card.

Added Security

Difficult to Counterfeit. Because chip cards use cryptograms that are unique to each transaction, stolen chip card data cannot be used to create counterfeit cards.

Less Risk of Fraud. The embedded chip adds another layer of security when used at a chip card reader. The added security makes payment information much less valuable, decreasing the incentive for fraudsters to steal data.

Zero Liability Protection. You won't be held responsible for unauthorized transactions made with your card or account information.
