Chico-based Tri Counties Bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TriCo Bancshares (NASDAQ: TCBK) is the largest community bank in the Sacramento Valley. The first branch of Tri Counties Bank started in a trailer on Pillsbury Rd. in Chico on Mar. 11, 1975. Today, 31 years later, the bank has 57 branches spanning the Central Valley from the Oregon border to Bakersfield.
