POSITION SUMMARY

The Personal Banker promotes and sells all retail Bank products and services to new and existing customers. 

The Senior Banker supports the Branch Manager in attaining branch goals and maintaining a customer-driven sales and service environment.  The Senior Banker promotes and sells all Bank products and services to new and existing customers.

Personal Banker MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uses every customer interaction as an opportunity to build a relationship with each customer through effective profiling, tele-consulting and where appropriate refer customers to business partners.
  • Meets sales goals as assigned.
  • Maintains accurate sales records and regularly reviews sales results with Branch Manager and prepares an action plan taking appropriate steps to meet/exceed sales objectives.
  • Prepares for and participates actively in branch sales meetings.
  • Ensures that all customer transactions are handled timely and accurately according to guidelines and that cash and security procedures are followed.
  • Accurately prepares necessary documentation from the sale of products and services and inputs data.

 

Senior Banker MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uses every customer interaction as an opportunity to build a relationship with each customer through effective profiling, tele-consulting and where appropriate refer customers to business partners.
  • Meets sales goals as assigned.
  • Proactively partners with Branch Manager to develop and implement promotional sales campaigns, cross-sell plans and tele-consulting activities.
  • In-store Senior Banker performs daily aisle time and PAs as directed by the Branch Manager.
  • Prepares for and participates actively in branch sales meetings.
  • Proactively partners and assists the Assistant Manager in referral coaching and mentoring of referral team members.
  • Assists Branch Manager regarding coaching of best practice by modeling behavior towards effective profiling and tele-consulting activities.
  • Ensures that all customer transactions are handled timely and accurately according to guidelines and that cash and security procedures are followed.
  • Prepares necessary documentation from the sale of products and services and inputs data.

Prerequisites:

Personal Banker EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or GED required, unless age 18.
  • Previous experience with bank sales, preferred.
  • Effective written, verbal/nonverbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to utilize personal computers and Windows based programs.
  • Successful completion of Bank’s product and sales training courses and appropriate certifications

Senior  Banker: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or GED required, unless age 18. 
  • Excellent written, verbal/nonverbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Above average working knowledge of Bank products and consumer lending.
  • Previous experience with bank sales, preferred.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
  • Ability to utilize personal computers and Windows based programs.
