Position is responsible for the daily processing and coordination of activities related to the bank’s overdraft privilege product. They will be viewed as the subject matter expert as it pertains to understanding any regulation that relates to the overdraft privilege service or products. They will be the lead employee to communicate with internal and external auditors regarding the overdraft privilege product and services. Additional, this position may perform the daily transactional review of alerts generated from the Treasury Management behavior monitoring system, Guardian Analytics, Wausau Risk Monitor Program and the Fraud net Program.




  • Coordinates, generates and monitors the daily work flow of overdraft privilege reports.
  • Monitors “Fresh Start” requests and process to ensure only qualified requests are approved in accordance with established criteria and any exceptions are reported to management
  • Coordinates closing of account OD 60 days and overdue Fresh Start customers, reporting closed accounts, various communications for reporting and disputes to Chex Systems.
  • Coordinates the removal of the overdraft privilege from the customer.
  • Maintains a current understanding of stated procedures and policies, including regulatory compliance issues as it relates to Overdraft Protection and Regulation E
  • Complete outreach customer calls for counseling on the overdraft privilege service and collection efforts calls on delinquent accounts as needed.  Recommend calling strategy to monitor at risk users of ODP.
  • Build best practices/policy to mitigate risk and gain efficiencies and monitor for quality assurance.
  • Review internal/external fraud/ODP policy for process weakness.  Recommend report/tracking enhancements on new fraud trends.
  • Daily monitoring and analysis of client behavior monitoring system.
  • Daily monitoring and analysis of wire and ACH transactions.
  • Research and take action on alerts from the behavior monitoring systems, this includes placing calls to department or branch (relationship owner) to contact customer. 
  • Assist in working daily Fraud Reports (Out of Sequence Checks, Duplicate Items, Check Kiting, fraud finders)
  • Perform various internal department daily, weekly and monthly audits.
  • Assist in the department risk and control identification process.



  • Participates in improving and updating department risk and control procedures and processes as necessary.
  • Trains branch staff regarding Overdraft Privilege and Fresh Start.
  • Maintains current understanding of and complies with regulations that include but not limited to overdraft protection, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA/AML), OFAC compliance, Suspicious Activity Report (SAR), fraud, identity theft protection and Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP).
  • Ensures all policy and procedures are properly followed.
  • Works on special projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or GED required, undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Three years prior analyst experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Detail oriented.
  • Working knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to mitigate conflict on outreach calls – special asset experience helpful
  • Analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize work on multiple projects.

Ability to utilize personal computers and Windows driven programs as well as some desktop publishing experience
