POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting, Tax and Financial Reporting Manager performs assigned accounting , tax and financial reporting functions and financial analysis requiring the appropriate application of accounting, tax, financial reporting, and management practices within the banking environment of an SEC and FDIC reporting community bank.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare almost all of the Bank’s and TriCo’s external and many internal financial reports.
- Keeping abreast of all SEC and regulatory reporting requirements, and modifying the Bank and the Company’s financial reports to include changes in requirements.
- Develop new and use existing systems to gather data for financial reporting purposes.
- Upgrade, maintain and use a system to calculate and track tax expense, taxes payable, and deferred tax items.
- Keeping abreast of tax related issues.
- While currently, there are no positions that report to this position, there may be such in the future, and there is a management aspect to this job in that other positions will supply information to this position, and this position will need to manage those reporting relationships.
- While there are several specific tasks assigned to this position at any given time, the tasks can also vary from time to time. The major responsibility of the position is to be able to apply accounting concepts and financial analysis skills to complete a wide range of job duties.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the CFO in various accounting, tax, financial analysis, and financial reporting functions.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

| Prerequisites: |
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED
- BS in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
- Certified Public Accounting License.
- At least four years of auditing work at a regional or larger public accounting firm, including experience on audits of SEC reporting banks.
- Strong knowledge of bank SEC and FDIC reporting requirements
- Strong knowledge of FASB accounting standards, in particular those commonly related to banks.
- Strong knowledge of tax accounting, including various aspects of taxes payable, income tax expense, and deferred taxes.
- Strong computer skills and proven spreadsheet literacy.
- Excellent written, verbal/nonverbal and interpersonal skills.
